Life with the Coronavirus in Weston

Life with the Coronavirus in Weston.

This eight-minute documentary was written and produced by Alex Gutting, Weston High School Class of 2020, as part of a Senior Experience class which took place last May under the direction of history teacher and department head Dr. Kerry Dunne. Alex talks about how the virus affected him and the Weston community. Via Zoom, he interviews the following persons with personal experience dealing with the virus in their professional or personal life: Dr. Elisabeth DiPietro (Weston Board of Health); Michael Goulding (Chief, Weston Police); Molly Varnau (Weston Historical Society board member); David Soar (Chief, Weston Fire Department); Stephen Boardman (Weston High School teacher); and Laura Roan (registered nurse). The film closes with scenes of Weston in May 2020, documenting the town almost totally shut down.

Other students in Dr Dunne’s class wrote journals and produced PowerPoint presentations. All will be archived at the Weston Historical Society.
