Josiah Smith Tavern construction site, side view

The complexity of the Josiah Smith Tavern restoration is apparent from this photograph taken in mid-March from behind St. Julia Church. The new rear addition has a “tower” for the elevator and space for bathrooms and a rear stairway. The Weston Historical Society will be leasing four rooms in the main building. Construction is expected to be completed by next winter.
